GALERIE.LA in the Press Recap: Los Angeles Times and Vogue Paris

DECEMBER 17, 2019

What better way to end the decade then with not one, but TWO press features this month! The Los Angeles Times called GALERIE.LA the store you go to ROW DTLA for "woke" fashion. As a L.A. native, this article means the world to us!

Then, we have our first ever Paris Vogue feature. Editor Jordane Crantelle included the shop in her "7 Best Green Addresses" in L.A. city guide on Youtube. We are honored to be mentioned among some of our favorite green brands!

Los Angeles Times

"The term “sustainable fashion” tends to conjure images of shapeless layers, washed-out hues and an overall aesthetic that could best be described as “crunchy.” Celebrity stylist-turned-retailer Dechel Mckillian is out to change that perception with her ethical concept store, Galerie.LA.

Located in emerging retail destination ROW DTLA, the 2-year-old women’s wear boutique stocks products that are eco-friendly, locally designed and produced, ethically made using fair trade practices, recycled and cruelty-free.

All those wordy, hyphenated descriptors aside, the key selling point is that they’re all chic." -Leigh-ann Jackson. Read the full story on the Los Angeles Times website.
